Blackwater Falls Winter Photographic Tour (with Ed & Kelly)
Davis, West Virginia
January 20 - 22, 2012: Friday noon - Sunday 11am
A Winter Wonderland weekend in Blackwater Falls State Park located in the Allegheny Mountains of Tucker County, West Virginia. Even if you have visited this area during any of the other seasons, winter transforms the park into a true winter paradise. Imagine the photographic possibilities of capturing fresh snow as it carpets the forest floor along with frozen ice patterns and textures of the creeks and waterfalls. We will help you creatively capture one of the most beautiful areas in West Virginia.
Named for the falls of the Blackwater River whose amber-colored waters plunge five stories then twist and tumble through an eight-mile long gorge.

Photographic Tour (with Ed & Kelly)

Saturday, April 28, 2012: Full Day – Sunrise to Sunset
Spend the day with Ed and Kelly at Mercers Mills Historic Complex & Historic Strasburg Railroad.
The Mill dates back from a 1744 land grant from William Penn. The first mill was built by the Quakers, Thomas Downing and Caleb Pierce. Remains of the millraces and dam can still be seen. Other important early structures include two stone houses, a barn and other rustic buildings. We will spend the morning capturing the Waldenesque beauty of this place.
Then we'll head to Historic East Strasburg Station. The larger-than-life coal-burning steam train is just the beginning. They will be exploring the engines and rail cars up-close and riding the beautifully restored train. Also an opportunity to photograph the wonderful Amish farms and fields surrounding the railroad will be the setting for this magnificent day.
